In a recent study, it was found that 37% of sales representatives receive 16 days or more of sales training during their first year on the job. American companies spend about $20 billion a year on sales training, yet 90% of those initiatives have no lasting impact after 120 days. Corporate training is also facing challenges since, on average, people forget 70% of what is taught within 24 hours of the training experience. Although 50% of line managers stated the belief that shutting down L&D would have no influence on employee performance, studies showed that continuous training results in 50% higher net sales per employee.
